MANNOL 2K-PUR – two-component polyurethane-based adhesive for reliable bonding and cosmetic repair of various surfaces and parts and especially for sealing holes and cracks. Quickly and securely bonds parts made of any plastics and any metals and alloys in any combination. Suitable for concrete, stone, and wood. Ideal for quick repairs with long-lasting effect, such as sealing cracks and voids on surfaces of any shape. Can be used in car repairs and other machinery, as wellas in industry, home, and office.
Properties:
- Full curing occurs within 20-30 minutes at room temperature, after which any mechanical processing is possible;
- After curing, it has exceptional elasticity and high strength, which it retains for a long time;
- Has very high adhesive properties;
- Does not change volume upon curing – i.e., it does not shrink;
- Contains no water or solvents, has no odor;
- Thixotropic: does not flow without external influence when applied;
- Absolutely resistant to water, mold, and fungal microorganisms, petroleum products;
- Resistant to weathering and aging. Withstands temperatures from -60 °C to +120 °C.
Application:
1. Thoroughly clean the bonding surfaces of old paint and other coatings, dirt, grease, andoil deposits. Use a file to remove burrs from the front side and give the punctured surface a uniform shape with a bevelled edge. Treat the damaged area with sandpaper within a 5-7 cm radius along the perimeter of the puncture or cracks.
2. Degrease using 9691 MANNOL Brake Cleaner. For the best results, roughen the surfaces. Dry.
3. Apply a mesh of appropriate size to the inside of the treated hole or crack, covering the edges of the hole by at least 5 cm. For larger holes, it is recommended to apply a second layer of mesh, additionally overlapping the first layer by 50%. On the front side, apply the included film to the treated surface.
Bonding can be done at any temperature and humidity, but the optimal temperature is from +10 °C to +30 °C and air humidity 50-60%.
4. Squeeze the required amount of both components from the dual syringe, mix well. Mixing ratio 1:1. Apply the mixture to the reinforcing mesh on the inside over the entire treatment surface. Smooth the applied layer with a spatula, avoiding excessive pressure to prevent the composition from squeezing out to the front side.
5. After 10 minutes, remove the film from the front side, allow the composition to cure, and treat the repaired surfacewith 9904 MANNOL Epoxy-Plastic for further preparation for painting. Setting time is 4-6 minutes after mixing. After 8-10 minutes, the glue is already resistant to deformation. Full curing occurs within 20-30 minutes, depending on the ambient temperature. Do not use the product at temperatures below 0 °C. Store tightly closed in the original packaging in a cool, dry place at temperatures from +5 °C to +25 °C.
