Fully synthetic motor oil Castrol EDGE Professional is produced using the latest TITANIUM FST™ technology. The TITANIUM FST™ technology physically changes the behavior of Castrol EDGE PROFESSIONAL oil under extreme stress conditions. The basis of the TITANIUM FST™ technology is polymeric organometallic compounds containing titanium. Thus, titanium becomes a component of the oil and works in unison with the enhanced oil film strength technology Fluid Strength Technology (FST™), which was implemented in 2011. Tests have confirmed that TITANIUM FST™ doubles the strength of the oil film, preventing its rupture and reducing friction for maximum engine performance. Using our collaboration experience with car manufacturers, we have applied the same technology previously used only for direct feed oil production. Castrol EDGE Professional motor oil has undergone multi-stage microfiltration. Quality control is carried out using the new optical particle measurement technology from Castrol — Optical Particle Measurement System (OPMS). Castrol EDGE Professional is the world's first oil certified as CO2 neutral according to global standards.
